1. Conversion Therapy
The first reading of Trudeau’s contemptible Bill C-4 was on Nov 29, 2021. Yesterday, December 1st, it passed in the House of Commons unanimously.*
The Bill contends for the criminalization of Conversion Therapy; here’s what it states:**
Whereas conversion therapy causes harm to society because, among other things, it is based on and propagates myths and stereotypes about sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, including the myth that heterosexuality, cisgender gender identity, and gender expression that conforms to the sex assigned to a person at birth are to be preferred over other sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions;
And whereas, in light of those harms, it is important to discourage and denounce the provision of conversion therapy in order to protect the human dignity and equality of all Canadians;
2. Foundations
Instantly the foundational failures of the Bill glare in the reader’s eyes and demand he takes notice. This is not a Bill made in the halls of law but the den of ideologues. For example, what are the Liberals talking about when they argue that Conversion Therapy is grounded in “myths and stereotypes about sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.”?
Myths?
What do they mean, “myths?” The Bible is plain that gender isn’t fluid, but even in the scientific arena, gender fluidity isn’t an axiom like rules of math. The liberal arts wing of the university, where a majority of professors create new ways to demolish the pillars of society (like the family structure) in the name of progress, might think so, but that doesn’t make a particular gender ideology true. There is still heavy debate about the subject.
Thus, the Bill is founded on lies and is subsequently compromised. Like a house constructed on a foundation of rot, how can the rest of the Bill be excepted to stand?
Nonetheless, C-4 presses on and defines Conversion Therapy:*`
conversion therapy means a practice, treatment or service designed to
(a) change a person’s sexual orientation to heterosexual;
(b) change a person’s gender identity to cisgender;
(c) change a person’s gender expression so that it conforms to the sex assigned to the person at birth;
(d) repress or reduce non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behaviour;
(e) repress a person’s non-cisgender gender identity; or
(f) repress or reduce a person’s gender expression that does not conform to the sex assigned to the person at birth.
Put simply, if a pastor is consulted by a transgender man on the morality of his sexual orientation, and the pastor replies, “It’s a manifestation of a sinful heart,” that pastor can be locked up in prison. Or if a pastor, or anyone else for that matter, tells a homosexual man to “repent!” he will be incarcerated as well. The past 20 years have championed the lie that the “lgbtq2+” community is oppressed—are they? Anyone who disagrees with them or tells them their lifestyle is wrong will be thrown in jail. It seems like the “oppressed” are becoming the oppressors (which is precisely how Marxism works).
More than that, we use language to communicate truth. This is absolutely fundamental to our nature because God Himself, in whose image we’re fashioned, uttered the genesis command “Let there be light,” and there was light. From speech comes truth.
The Post-Modern liberal used speech to communicate what they thought was true—that gender is fluid. Canadians entertained debates and discussions to discern who was right, the traditionalist or the progressive. But now that the progressives have conquered power, with C-4 they legislate,
“No more debate. The truth is discovered and final.”
Of course, they’re so confident in the “truth” that gender is fluid that they have to ban and criminalize all dissenting opinions…just in case.
3. Cowards
One of the most insulting aspects of this Bill—apart from the fact that it criminalizes religious freedom, is that it passed unanimously and without debate in the house.
“Shame on the Conservative Members of Parliament.”
Or rather, that’s what I would say if we had any Conservative Members of Parliament left. We don’t. Make no mistake; the Liberals enjoy a 338 seat majority. The fact that the “Conservatives” were content to let this Bill be rammed through the house without debate or scrutinization is appalling. Regarding the old Conversion Therapy Bill, CBC reported,
“Numerous Conservative MPs, namely those who hail from its social conservative wing, complained at the time the wording of the Bill was overly broad and could criminalize conversations about sexuality between children and their parents or with religious leaders.”**`
That’s true—but is this Bill is any better?? Why was there no debate or recorded vote?
“‘I think political people in this country do not want to be on the record anymore opposing LGBTQ issues because they’re fundamental human rights,’ said Tourism Minister Randy Boissonnault. ‘We said that we wanted people to be on the right side of history, nobody can consent to torture, and so I think that message got drilled home by leaders in the Conservative party.’”*``
Thus, there was no debate because our “leaders” are cowards. The MP’s in that labyrinth of Babylon in Ottawa are “men without chests” from whom we are foolish to expect any virtue righteousness.*`* We elected Members to the House of Commons that are corrupted and weak; should we be surprised to discover we have traitors in our midst?
